Learn the meditative art of weaving!
In this workshop you will create a beautiful 5” x 8” textural tapestry. This class introduces frame loom weaving techniques, encouraging exploration of texture, color, and a variety of materials. Students will learn the fundamental elements of weaving including how to set up a loom, while encouraged to play and experiment.
Instruction also covers tapestry design, working with color, and techniques for creating rich, dynamic textures.
Students will leave this workshop with a small wall hanging and 2 sizes of frame looms from Hello Looms so you can continue your weaving practice anywhere.

In this workshop you will create a beautiful 5” x 8” textural tapestry using unconventional materials and found objects. This class introduces frame loom weaving techniques, encouraging exploration of texture, color, and a variety of materials. Students will learn the fundamental elements of weaving while encouraged to play and experiment with unusual fibers, objects found in nature, and other sacred objects.
SKILL LEVEL: All levels
WHAT TO BRING: Students are free to bring any small objects they would like to incorporate into their weaving.
MATERIALS INCLUDED:Looms, warp thread, felted Merino wool, Merino wool roving, acrylic yarn in a multitude of colors, natural fibers and found objects, stones, feathers, scissors, plastic needles, dowel rods.
